Application
• 4-Phenylphenol is an important fine chemical intermediate widely used in dyes, pesticides, antiseptic fungicides, coatings, photosensitive materials and other fields.
• It’s used as intermediate of resin and rubber, solubilizer of fungicide, water-soluble paint, electrophoretic paint, and marine paint, dyeing carrier of hydrophobic synthetic fiber.
• It’s widely applied on the synthesis of p-phenylphenol formaldehyde resin, mid-infrared sensitizing dyes, green sensitizing dyes, etc.
• Used in the synthesis of polymer liquid crystal monomers, new types of insecticides, calcium channel antagonists, osteoporosis inhibitors, etc.
• An intermediate of bactericide biphenyltriadiazole, used in the preparation of oil-soluble resins and emulsifiers, as a component of corrosion-resistant paint, as a carrier for printing and dyeing, etc. Also used as analytical reagents. Colorimetric determination of acetaldehyde and lactic acid, quantitative determination of muramic acid, inhibitor of deoxyribonuclease I.
• Synthesized with organic silicon to make large-screen oil film light valve as an external light source, i.e., a large-screen TV.
• According to the development trend of domestic and foreign markets in recent years, 4-Phenylphenol is expected to become a large tonnage of rubber, dyes and pharmaceutical intermediates, with a broad market prospect.
