Properties

White needle/flake-shaped crystal. Soluble in ether, ethanol, ethyl acetate, acetone and sodium hydroxide, slightly soluble in benzene and methyl chloride, insoluble in gasoline, carbon tetrachloride and water.

Application

Its high-purity products are mainly used in the synthesis of liquid crystal polymers (LCP), which have various properties and are widely applied on in many fields. It can make imitated silk, high-strength fibers for optical fiber reinforcement.

Liquid crystal polymer (LCP) is a special engineering plastic with the fastest growing high-performance new structure in recent years. It’s a high-performance material with extremely superior comprehensive properties: 1) Good process-ability; 2) Self-reinforcing; 3) Excellent heat resistance; 4) Small coefficient of linear expansion; 5) Superior electrical properties; 6) Excellent physical and chemical properties.

Therefore, it’s widely used in electronic parts, precision mechanical parts, home appliance accessories, medical equipment, auto parts and chemical equipment parts and other fields. In addition, it can be used as a rubber antioxidant and plastic antioxidant. It is non-polluting and can be used for colorless vulcanized rubber products, rubber products for food packaging and medical latex products, and also for sulfur chloride cold vulcanization products such as medical gloves. It can also be applied on dye intermediates, petroleum product stabilizers, synthetic photosensitive materials, and synthetic polymer raw materials. In terms of synthetic polymers, due to its excellent heat resistance, it can be used as a modified monomer for polyester, polyurethane, polycarbonate, polyphenylsulfone and epoxy resin to produce excellent engineering plastics and composite materials.
