SSO

Anionic substituted synthetic tanning agent

Main Component: Aryl sulfone methylene condensation polymer

Main Usage: Widely used for retanning chrome tanned leather and vegetable tanned leather.

FEATURES

• SSO is a powdered synthetic tanning agent easily soluble in cold and warm water.

• SSO alone can be used for white leather with medium lightfastness.

• The grain fineness of chrome tanned leather can be produced by the low convergence of SSO, which makes SSO also applicable to all types of leather.

• SSO keeps the grain tight and gives the leather a soft feel.

• SSO makes the leather bright and has good dispersibility, making the vegetable tanning agent and resin tanning agent penetrate deeper and more evenly.

• SSO has a medium filling property, which is better when used with other tanning agents.

• SSO has a good even effect, especially suitable for light colored leather.

APPLICATION

Adding SSO in vegetable tanning has the following advantages:

• Accelerate the penetration of vegetable tanning agent.

• Improve grain performance.

• The leather is bright and evenly dyed.

• Prevent the formation and mildew of muddy sediment.

SSO is especially suitable for the tanning and retanning of white wet sofa leather. When tanning wet white leather, the recommended dosage is 1-2% of the naked leather weight. It can replace vegetable tanning agent when tanning, and the dosage is 6-12% of the shaved weight.

Application on White leather:

Use SSO tanned leather alone to make it white. It’s recommended to use SSO tanned leather together with other series of white synthetic tanning agents for white skin. Uncoated leather has medium light resistance.

Tanning of small skin:

Using SSO substituting 10-20% vegetable tanning agent can make the grain of sheep skin and goat skin smoother and more elastic, and the leather is easy to stretch.

STORAGE & TRANSPORTATION

Please store in a ventilated and cool warehouse to avoid exposure to the sun and away from fire sources.
